Q. Why a separate site for LDS people?
That's easy to explain with a little analogy. If we hosted a party for you and then at your party talked about things, people, and places that you, the guest of honor, didn't know or understand that wouldn't be very nice of us. We felt that is exactly what we'd be doing if we built a site for LDS interests, tailored to those who understand and belong to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and didn't let you know upfront. For example, LDS people have unique events, activities, or places like Family Home Evening, General Conference, or Temples. But, if you don't mind riding a little learning curve then come be part of the party.

Q. Can I sign up for the LDS NEST Subscription even if I'm not of the LDS faith?
Yes! Absolutely. We welcome you with cyber hugs and handshakes. If you subscribe there will be plenty of information that you'll find applicable and adaptable (for home, school, work, leadership) to your life without being a member of our faith. Faith in Jesus Christ is our universal common ground. There will be some things that might not be clear without a greater context of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints but we can always answer questions that might come up.

Q. Do I have to join your church if I subscribe to LDS NEST?
No, though we'd love to have you. Joining our monthly membership doesn't mean you've joined our church. Actually, our website, LDS NEST, isn't an official site of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at all. We don't expect you to change. We also don't send missionaries to your home. Though if they stop by sometime, you might want to ask them a few questions. They can talk to you without you having to commit to anything.

Q. What are your beliefs?
We would love to sit down over lunch and talk about all the things we love and believe about our church (and you yours). But for now, a few lines and links will have to do until such a time comes up. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has some summary documents that can give you some general ideas.
• The Living Christ This document summarizes and solidifies our beliefs in Jesus Christ
• The Family - A Proclamation to the World This document defines the purposes of family
• Articles of Faith Summary of beliefs written in 1842 by Joseph Smith
• Young Women Theme Young women thought the LDS Church participate in this program
• Relief Society The LDS Church's women's organization started in 1842
• People This is a site where ordinary members of the LDS Church add a profile page to tell about their faith
• Chat You can talk to live people through an online chat window, ask any question you want

Q. Do you offer anything else for people who aren't of your faith?
Yes. We're all about family, faith, and living life well. We don't own those ideas, they're universal, and you'll find a lot of that here. Though we might differ on specific points of doctrine there will be plenty that we do have in common.

If these little peculiarities don't bother you then...
You'll fit right into the nest!
